WORLD football’s 100 most valuable players have been revealed.
Napoli and Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is ranked 97th on the star-studded list. Among footballers plying their trade in the Italian Serie A, the former Lille of France goal poacher is the 13th most valuable player.
Victor Osimhen is drawing plenty of interest, with Bayern Munich being the latest side reportedly eyeing him, but Napoli are determined to repel the offers. Manchester United, Newcastle, and Arsenal are also reportedly keen on him.
According to scientific and technical researchers at the CIES Football Observatory, Oshimhen is valued at €51m (₦24b)
After calculating the transfer value of players based on many factors including the length of their current contract, age and buyout clauses, it has been revealed, Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe is the most valuable player on the planet.
The Frenchman has just penned a lucrative new contract at PSG, snubbing Real Madrid in the process.
And Mbappe’s transfer value has been rated at a staggering £175million. That’s almost £20m more than the second-top player, Real’s Vinicius Jr.
Manchester City’s new arrival Erling Haaland comes third but he is the most valuable player in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old is said to be worth £130.4million, more than double the £51.2million that City paid to activate his Borussia Dortmund release clause this summer.
The Premier League dominates the list with six of the top 10 and 10 of the top 20 most valuable players in England’s top-flight.
