Senator UBA Sani, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Kaduna state, has chosen Dr Hadiza Balarabe, the state’s current Deputy Governor, as his running mate for the 2023 general elections.
This was revealed in a statement issued on Monday. Sani stated that he chose Balarabe after consulting with various stakeholders in the State.
Sani praised Balarabe for her work in human capital development and infrastructure so far in the El Rufai administration.
He described the Deputy Governor’s work ethic as one of hard work, punctuality, dedication, and team spirit in the performance of her duties. This won her the hearts of key stakeholders in the state.
He urged the people of Kaduna state to back his choice of running mate and to vote for the APC in the upcoming 2023 elections.
Dr Hadiza Balarabe is Kaduna State’s current Deputy Governor and the state’s first female Deputy Governor. She was elected after running as Governor Nasir El Rufai’s running mate in the 2019 elections. Some stakeholders believed that allowing her into the system violated a state agreement for a Muslim/Christian ticket.
