The Prelate of the Methodist Church, His Eminence Samuel Uche, and two others abducted on Sunday have regained freedom.

They were released Monday evening. However, it is unclear if any ransom was paid to secure their release.

According to the Police spokesperson in Abia state, the Prelate was kidnapped with two others – the Bishop of Methodist church Owerri Diocese and the Prelate’s chaplain.

The Police command was quick to mobilise men and speed up efforts to rescue the abducted clergymen.

The kidnap took place in the Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.
