Atiku Abubakar congratulates Tinubu on his emergence as APC Presidential flagbearer

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has congratulated Bola Tinubu on his nomination as the flagbearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, received 1271 votes to secure the ticket ahead of former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and Senate President Ahmad Lawan.

Atiku stated that Tinubu’s victory in the APC presidential primary election held at Eagles Square in Abuja demonstrated his tenacity.

Atiku tweeted, “Congratulations, Bola Tinubu, on your emergence as your party’s presidential candidate

“It has been a hard-fought contest, but that you prevailed confirms your tenacity.”

In the 2023 general elections, Atiku and Tinubu will be front-runners for the presidency.
