Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez, has released his third studio album, Young Preacher. The album is the rapper’s follow-up to the critically acclaimed “Sex Over Love” album, which was released in 2021.
On “Young Preacher,” Blaqbonez continues the theme that has endeared him to his fans by singing about his love for women. However, he also delves into painful reminiscences about his upbringing and the luxury that fame now provides him.
Blaqbonez recently stated in an interview with Apple Music that his previous work, “Sex Over Love,” was quite playful, but “Young Preacher” is a more introspective body of work. I’m preaching about my way of life, what I do, how I interact with women, and how I live my life. It’s like the Blaqbonez gospel.”

The 14-track album was released through his label, Chocolate City Music. Recording sessions took place in London, Lagos, Kenya, and Abuja. Blxckie, Cheque, Lojay, Amarae, Tekno, Takura, Bien, Jae5, and Tay Iwar all appear on the album. Ramoni, Jae5, Chopsticks, Masterkraft, and others are credited for the production.
The album was also accompanied by two promotional singles. Back in Uni, produced by UK-based producer Jae5, and “Fake Nikes,” featuring Blxckie.
The album is available for streaming on all platforms. In addition, Blaqbonez will headline his first UK show on November 11th at the Omeera Live Space in London.
