Grammy award-winning artist, Burna Boy, has revealed that R&B star Toni Braxton receives 60% of the royalties for his hit single “Last Last.”
Burna Boy disclosed this to the public during an interview on the podcast “Million Dollaz Worth of Game.”
During the podcast, Burna Boy disclosed that he had been thinking about sampling Toni Braxton’s 2000 hit “He Wasn’t Man Enough.” He was able to make it happen after sharing his idea with his producer, Chopsticks.
Toni Braxton will receive 60% of the royalties for her sample in the song. Burna Boy, on the other hand, is unconcerned about this and admits that his main priority was to create a great song. He went on to say that he would love to see Toni Braxton pop up at one of his shows.
“Last Last,” released in May 2022, is the second single from Burna Boy’s upcoming album, “Love Damini,” which is set to be released on July 8th. The song has been a huge success since its release.
