Calciomercato have reported that De Ligt’s current release clause at Juventus is €125 million (£105.92 million).The Netherlands international central defender reportedly has a new contract offer from Juventus which will see his release clause lowered, according to the report.
Liverpool are well stocked in central defence and do not need to sign another 22-year-old.
De Ligt is unlikely to get ahead of Virgil van Dijk and ibrahima Konate in the Liverpool starting lineup.
Chelsea will have space at the back.
