Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter Kizz Daniel has made history on Boomplay as the first artist with 300 million streams on the platform and also replicated the same feat on Audiomack, earning a well-deserved plaque from the music streaming giant.

Kizz Daniel is indeed having an impressive year, with back-to-back global tours and dropping hit songs that are rocking the waves.

The ‘Buga’ lord has recorded another landmark as the first artist to hit a total of 300 million streams on the platform making him the most streamed artist on Boomplay. Boomplay made this announcement via their social media account on Wednesday 13th July 2022.

His projects that have the most streams on the platform are “Barnabas” EP with 133.5M streams, “King of Love” with 39M streams, No Bad Songs with 22.1M streams, and his most streamed single “1” at 82M streams.

“Buga” featuring Tekno had recorded success in the mainstream enjoying such a massive reception among fans. Buga was said to have accumulated 1 million streams within 24 hours of release on Boomplay and has remained in the top spot in countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Togo, Zambia, DRC, Benin and Sierra Leone.

In April 2022, Boomplay announced that the artist became the first to hit 100,000,000 project-based streams in less than six months with his fourth studio project, “Barnabas EP.”

The singer is currently on a 10-city tour in the United States with an impressive turnout from fans. And with talks of an album on the way, Kizz Daniel is likely to retain his crown as the king of Boomplay.

At his sold-out headline show in New York, Kizz Daniel was presented a plaque by Jason Johnson, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy for Audiomack as part of his Afro classic USA tour.
“Over the years, Kizz Daniel has consistently shown his ability to create and deliver great music for his fans.
