Eedris Abdulkareem, a Nigerian rapper and activist, has been diagnosed with kidney failure and will undergo surgery at the end of July.
Lakreem Entertainment’s Myke Pam issued a statement in which he asked for prayers and support for the artist.
Mr. Pam stated that everything with the donor has been finalized for the kidney transplant at the end of this month.
According to Mr. Pam, Eedris is upbeat and full of life.
“He’ll emerge from this and blaze up the musical stage once more.” His spirit inspires us. “We will keep you updated as we continue with this life-saving procedure,” he added.
Meanwhile, colleagues in the industry have sent goodwill messages and urged the public to lend whatever assistance they can to Eedris.
Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga, took to Twitter to ask for prayers and support for his colleague. Audi Maikori and producer Samklef also lent their voices.
Eedris Abdulkareem is the most recent celebrity to suffer from kidney disease. OJB Jezreel died of kidney failure in 2016. In addition, a Nigerian actor, Leonard Chimezie Onyemachi, died recently of kidney failure.
