FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP: England thrashes Australia, cruises into Final

The 2023 Women’s World Cup finals will be between Spain and England on Sunday

Coach Sarina Wiegman’s girls defeated Australia 3-1 in the second semi-final.

Ella Toone’s 36th minute opener was cancelled by Sam Kerr in the 63rd minute. Lauren Hemp added a second in the 71st minute while Alessia Russo completed the rout in the 86th minute.

England’s Lionesses played the game of their lives against the tournament’s co-host, Australia.

It was a sweet victory for England who were knocked out in the semi-final stage in 2015 and 2019.

However, they got it right this time and will be playing their first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup final. England won the UEFA Women’s Championship and they would relish this huge opportunity to win the trophy on Sunday
