Insecurity: I won’t lose battle to keep Nigeria secure —Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu declared his determination to secure the nation from all threats at the 2023 annual chief of army staff conference in Borno on Monday. He made the statement in a press release by his media adviser, Ajuri Ngelale.

He also expressed his satisfaction with the various civilian-military projects across the country, which he said would improve the living standards of the people and foster mutual trust between the army and the civilians.

The defence minister, Mohammed Badaru, commended the president for his new strategy of empowering and collaborating with the military, which he said had boosted the morale of the armed forces. He said the president had fulfilled his promise of making progress in the fight against insecurity.

The chief of army staff, Taoreed Lagbaja, reported that the ongoing military operations had significantly weakened the criminal elements in the country. He thanked the president for his leadership and support.
