American rapper and businessman Kanye West, is embroiled in yet another controversy. According to the latest report, Kanye West was escorted out of the Sketchers building in Los Angeles after arriving unannounced and uninvited.
In a statement released by Skechers, Kanye and others were kicked out of the building for showing up unannounced and filming without permission.
Sketchers, the world’s third largest footwear company by revenue, has stated that they have no intention of working with Kanye West and that they do not tolerate anti-semitism or any other form of hate speech.
The company stated, “We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech. The company would like to emphasise once more that West arrived at Skechers corporate offices unannounced and uninvited.”
This latest incident with Sketchers follows Kanye West’s dismissal from Adidas on Tuesday for making hateful and dangerous statements about Jews. The rapper also stated that he was free to say whatever he wanted and that the company would never fire him.
However, the German sportswear company called it quits on the $1.5 billion partnership. This also cost Kanye West his billionaire status, which Forbes now estimates to be worth $400 million.
It’s unclear what Kanye West was looking for at Sketchers, but the company has stated unequivocally that it has no intention of doing business with the fashion icon. In addition, Gap has announced that the Yeezy Gap line of merchandise will be removed from its stores, as well as the online store, YeezyGap.com.
