American rapper, Meek Mill, will headline the Afronation festival in Accra, Ghana in December. The rapper has been posting on social media about his desire to perform in Africa and reconnect with his African roots in the last week. The Afronation festival has given him the opportunity to make his dream a reality.

Meek Mill is a well-known rapper from Philadelphia. Earlier in his career, he had various legal issues, which hampered his travels because probation barred him from leaving the United States for an extended period of time. However, with the help of some powerful people, including fellow rapper Jay Z, he was able to regain his freedom and get off probation.

In 2015, he collaborated with Davido on the song “Fans Mi.” However, it appears that they had a disagreement over some business. According to Meek Mill, he has put his past issues behind him and is willing to talk and collaborate with Davido and other Africans on the continent.

Afronation festival has been a driving force in promoting African music. Other artists scheduled to perform at the festival include Davido, YBNL’s Asake, the legendary P Square, and Ghana’s Stonebwoy.

The Afronation festival will be held on December 29th and 30th at Marine Drive in Black Star Square, Ghana.
