Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, will be hosted by Nigerians in the United States as he continues consultations ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The meetings with Nigerians will take place between August 31 and September 3, with stops in North Carolina, Texas, Atlanta, Washington, DC, and New York. The purpose of the event, according to Peter Obi, is to engage the diaspora on “The Role of the Nigerian Diaspora in the Development and Growth of Nigeria.”
Over the last few days, Peter Obi has been on a global consultation with Nigerians in the diaspora, making stops in Frankfurt, Germany, Rome, Italy, and Toronto, Canada. All of these visits were in connection with his presidential ambitions for 2023.
