Manchester United have to reinforce their strike force in the summer transfer window and once again, the name of Victor Osimhen is in the focus.

According to a report monitored in Italy, Man Utd have made contact to sign the Nigerian international, who could end up leaving Napoli.

There are also claims that club president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, values the center forward at 110 million euros (£95million), and in no way will he sell him for a fee less than 100 million euros.

The high asking price has driven the suitors away but not Newcastle United, who have shown that they are ready to make a big investment to sign the African star.

At Old Trafford, only Portuguese superstars, Ronaldo (24) and Fernandes (10), managed to reach the double figures in terms of goals scored last season.

CR7 will be out of contract next season and a young center forward must be signed to replace the club legend.

Last term, Osimhen featured in 32 games in all competitions for the Naples-based side and directly contributed in no fewer than 24 goals (18 goals and 6 assists).

For Nigeria, the 23-year-old striker has found the net 15 times in just 18 starts thus far. In the recent African Cup of Nations qualification fixtures, he scored a goal in the victory against Sierra Leone and directly contributed in 6 goals in the 10-0 win over Sao Tome and Principe.
