Tems has rescheduled her UK shows after being diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis.
The Grammy-nominated artist revealed her diagnosis in an Instagram post.
“It breaks my heart to say this, but there has been no other option for me,” she wrote. I’m not in a good mood right now. I was diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis after my last performance, and I need to take some time off to protect what’s left of my voice.”
“Due to a doctor’s order, I must cancel the two shows this week.” Both shows’ new dates will be announced tomorrow.
She promised fans “the best show ever” once her health improves.
“We will announce the new dates tomorrow.” All tickets remain valid. I apologize once more for the inconvenience, but I promise to return, better than ever, by the grace of God. Then I’ll put on the best show you’ve ever seen. Thank you all for your patience. “You mean everything to me.”
Reflux laryngitis occurs when stomach acid or other substances irritate the back of your throat. This frequently occurs while sleeping in the middle of the night and causes irritation and swelling of the vocal cords.
