Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has won Best International Act at the 2022 BET Awards.
The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles hosted the 2022 award ceremony. The BET Awards honour African-American excellence in music, culture, and sports.
Fireboy, Dave from the UK, Dinos from France, Fally Ipupa from Congo, Little Simz from the UK, Ludmilla from Brazil, Major League Djz from South Africa and Tayc from France were all beaten by the talented singer.
Tems, who accepted the award, urged women and girls to stay on their chosen path, saying that their efforts would soon be rewarded.
