Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), paid a visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan at his residence in Abuja.
The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, is believed to be in connection with further consultations for the Presidential elections in 2023.
Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, Governor of Plateau State and DG of the campaign, Simon Lalong, Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, and Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Metawalle, among others, accompanied Tinubu on the visit.
Tinubu appears to be on a nationwide consultation tour with former Presidents and other key stakeholders in the country. He met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo behind closed doors a few weeks ago in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
In a brief interview following the meeting, Tinubu told TVC that he wished to live in a country where everything was free, including the freedom to speak and collaborate. He also referred to Goodluck Jonathan as an elder statesman whom he admires.
