Various newspapers outlets are reporting today that Newcastle forward Allan Saint-Maximin may be a target this summer for Antonio Conte, who looks to be staying on as the Spur manager.
Newcastle are said to be open to offers of £50M for the Frenchman, and if they got one from Tottenham, it would be a tough call for Howe.
A recent injection of £150M for this summer’s transfer window will allow Conte to bring some new players into the squad, and the Italian manager is meeting with Tottenham managing director Fabio Paratici in Italy.
They are looking at which players they should buy this summer, and of course, Conte already has a list of players to discuss with Paratici.
Spurs will sign former Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster as a free agent as backup to 35-year-old French International and Spurs captain Lloris.
Players they are interested in are said to include Alessandro Bastoni, Djed Spence, Filip Kostic, Ivan Perisic, Adama Traore, Richarlison and Allan Saint-Maximin.
The article says it may be difficult to get Newcastle forward Saint-Maximin, probably because Newcastle will be unwilling to sell a player who has such potential.
